I'm running Fedora Core 2 32-bit edition on my Athlon64 notebook. I'm trying to get cpuspeed to work, but I'm not having much success. Below is my /etc/cpuspeed.conf
VMAJOR=1
VMINOR=1
DRIVER="powernow-k8"
OPTS="-a /proc/acpi/ac_adapter/AC/state -t /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature 60"
My problem is that it doesn't seem to scale down the CPU speed at all and its draining a lot of battery power. Any help would be appreciated.
