Greetings. I was going to install the Fedora 9 x86_64 preview release on a new laptop, model Asus X70Sr, but ran into an error right away. I've been looking around some but haven't found any solution.
Loading isolinux: Disk error 10, AX = 42A8, drive EF
Boot failed: press a key to retry
It occurs when I select either the normal installer or the text-based installer in grub when booting from the DVD. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi
Did you confirm that the burn was good with the program you used to burn it?
It's also important to confirm the file was downloaded ok with
sha1sum Fedora-9-Preview-x86_64-DVD.iso
or whatever your filename was and compare the result to the sha1sum string in the mirror
where you got it. Usually there's a file in the directory with the iso called SHA1SUM
containing that.
I suspect the burn failed. If you have a different PC available see if it
can boot in that, also, if it does use the "Boot and Verify" option to verify it
there.

I tried the DVD in another computer and it's fine. I didn't know that it was possible to install from a live cd, guess I'll try that.
