Turtle Beach Santa Cruz problems/questions

I have a question about midi. Does Linux Support it? I have my keyboard hooked up to my Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card. I have been trying to establish a connection. No luck. Also are there better drivers out there for this sound card? There are pops all the time when I play .mp3s in XMMS. Why does Fedora core find my card as Sound Fusion CS46xx? Please Help
