Alsa + SB Audigy & Kmix

I have sound working fine in Fedora Core 2. However in KDE , specifically kmix I notice that it does not display any input devices under the input tab in kmix. ( no sliders or information at all - just a blank tab )

I can obviously adjust input devices by using alsamixer however it would be nice to see them under kmix as well. I am using Kernel 2.6.7 and Alsa driver 1.0.5

I have a spare box with a sb live in it which works flawlessly ... It gives me output and input tabs in kmix with sliders on everything ...

This has me a little stumped, I am not sure if it's a problem my end or that's the way it is with audigy's ?
