I'm having problems with the wireless signal. I used to have windows on this system before and it used to have around 80-90% signal strength, i'm about a few meters away from the router. But under linux i get around 55-70% signal strength. Do i need new Drivers or an update, what's going on.

first make sure your drivers are updated and make sure that your system is updated. sounds like a driver issue.

yes it is the latest driver and the system is updated

could just be the os. i have a problem similar to this. i have vista and ubuntu on my lappy. here at school the past couple of days i am having problem getting onto the network with linux. my fedora install on my external hdd seems to be having problems as well. vista connects just fine.
