Is there anyway to attach to a livna repo for Fedora 9? The livna page has no link for attaching the dev version, while the wiki page for livna says that Fedora 8 is the last version of Fedora to be supported. The upcoming rpm fusion site is not as yet open for business.
I need a couple of applications that are not in the standard Fedora repos.
Please anyone answering this assume that I know nothing about Fedora or Linux (pretty close to the truth) so please dont assume I know where config files are or how to change them
Thanks,
:)

Hello:
Don't bother to search :)
To install the livna repo go here : http://rpm.livna.org/rlowiki/ and click on and install http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-8.rpm
Once it is installed, open a terminal and log in as root and
gedit /etc/yum.repos.d/livna.repo
and set
enabled=1
to
enabled=0
save, exit and then
gedit /etc/yum.repos.d/livna-devel.repo
and set
enabled=0
to
enabled=1
save, exit and type
yum clean all
and you should be good to go

Thanks for the help.
I don't search for several reasons. Firstly as an IT developer for most of my life I have had my fill of searching - now its tedious and boring to the point of me wanting to blow my brains out. Secondly I like conversations with people better then conversations (searches) with machines, and I work on the principle that people visit forums voluntarily becuase they like having conversations with people also, ans that if they didnt, they would'nt.
I carried out what you suggested, but when I tried to install Devede, packagekit hung during the download. Think its best for someone like me to be patient and wait till version 9 is actually released, and RPM fusion is up and running. In the meantime will use Ubuntu.
Thanks once again.

Having messed around with F9 myself, try to install the program from a CLI with YUM. More than likely the reason it "hung" was it was waiting for you to accept or deny the GPG key. Once that is out of the way you shouldn't have any other troubles.
