So this has become beyond frustrating for me...I switched to Fedora 9 at the beta release. Ever since then my wireless network at home won't get a dhcp address...Wireless works *everywhere* else. When I'm at home my laptop just sends discover's and never gets anything back. Looking on my FC5 dhcp server shows no traffic from my laptop.

dhcp works for all my other laptops at home (sayabon linux, windows vista) and it's worked fine when I had Fedora 8 on the same laptop. I have wep encryption on my ap and the key hasn't changed in quite a while...Help?

so I know this isn't a fedora 9 problem since I just reinstalled with preview and the same thing is happening...wireless works everywhere but home...this should probably be moved to networking...anyone have any thoughts on it?

hmm...
1. can you connect with WEP turned off?
2. Can you connect with WPA instead of WEP?

I had a problem (originally with Fedora 8) until I turned off *ignore ICMP PINGS* in the router.
Had no network issues since.

Cannot connect with WEP turned off..However I can connect to my neighbor's unsecured AP. I didn't try WPA but I'll give it a go this weekend. Thanks!

So it works with WPA on...I didn't try it since I couldn't connect with the AP wide open...This is resolved..Thanks to all..
