This is really a general question, but I'm interested specifically with regard to Fedora 9. If I install the current version, and do a yum update when the final release comes out, will I have exactly the same thing as if I did the fresh install on the final release? I'm worried about having a wayward version.h file, or some such thing around that confuses a later install.

If you keep it updated when the finial release rolls out you will have the full version the only thing that you my have to do is change repos from development to F9

actually late in the dev cycle I will be releasing a fedora-release package that disables rawhide repo and enables the release repos and updates. If you have not edited these files already you'll be all set!

Yes. From what I have read, yum will handle all of this automatically.
