FC2: <3> hub 1-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2

My box> Compaq Armada 100S /K6-2+ 533MHz, 288MB ram, 8MB is taking VGA Trident Cyberblade, only one usb port/ with fedora core 2, upgraded from rh9
Over whole console is running still this message still...
hub 1-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2
System is damned slow, cpu on 100%, ram 120 of 275MB, swap usage 0
pls suggestions, any help appreciated

I have exactly the same problem. Did you find some solution?
I tried with FC3 also and the same error occurs again.
I read some posts, and I disabled or changed parallel and serial ports settings.
I will appreciate any help.

i used to connect my digital camera (pentax optio s30) to my notebook (hp omnibook xe3, fedora core 2) via usb. without having changed any hw/sw settings since the last successful photo download session, i connected the camera today and got the infamous "hub 1-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2" message.

i went googling for help and ended up here. although there are lots of dmesg outputs on the net that display the same error message, i couldn't find anything useful.

help, anyone?
