I have an all in one epson DX 5050 who work fine with F8
But with F9 my printing work but not the scanner...
I have this message:
Erreur d'ouverture du périphérique `v4l:/dev/video0:
Argument invalide.
(I am french)
In English:
Failed to open device `v4l:/dev/video0`:
Invalid argument.
I posted in bugzilla ( bug 440303 ) but there is no response...
any ideas?...

Hmm... my HP all-in-one scanner is connected to my F8 box still. I'll connect it to my F9 test laptop and see if it works or not.

I get that same error with my USB web cam - usually just after a kernel upgrade. The kernel modules for my camera come from Livna - not Fedora. Takes 'em a day or two to 'catch up'.

Maybe similar?

I comment out the "v4l" line in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf. and the error message has changing...
Now it was "no devices available"

I have solution:
In /etc/sane.d/dll.conf there are two lines for epson:
epson
epson2

I comment "epson2":
epson
#epson2

and now my scanner work
