There is an SELinux error message that is shown inmy screenshot. I have also noticed a problem with updates. It shows 537 updates available. I tried to download and install, but some type of lock error popped up and I aborted the updates after 7 hours of downloading. If I can post back anything that may help with debugging or improving Fedora 9, please let me know.

The selected error should be fixed in the latest policy which no doubt is part of that giant update you have pending.
To fix the update you may need to do several things:
1 - update yum, rpm, and PackageKit manually using yum
yum update yum rpm PackageKit gnome-packagekit
2- try your update again, using gpk-update-viewer, or by starting gpk-update-icon and then selecting update now from the panel
3- refresh your updates view (local metadata being used by packagekit) by choosing 'refresh' in gpk-update-viewer
If that halts, or fails, then run gpk-update-viewer -v and ATTACH the output to the forum, or use yum -d9 update and attach that. The solution should be obvious from the output of either.

Thanks LordMorgul. I ran the updates again and everything went smoothly.
