I've just installed the newest Fedora 9 from Rawhide and whenever I log out the network is turned off:

Apr 12 12:40:41 desktop kernel: klauncher[5765] general protection ip:3e04242ae8 sp:7fffe9da7760 error:0 in libX11.so.6.2.0[3e04200000+106000]
Apr 12 12:40:41 desktop NetworkManager: <info> Deactivating device eth0.
Apr 12 12:40:41 desktop NetworkManager: <info> eth0: canceled DHCP transaction, dhclient pid 5876
Apr 12 12:40:41 desktop avahi-daemon[2421]: Withdrawing address record for 192.168.0.10 on eth0.
Apr 12 12:40:41 desktop avahi-daemon[2421]: Leaving mDNS multicast group on interface eth0.IPv4 with address 192.168.0.10.
Apr 12 12:40:41 desktop avahi-daemon[2421]: Interface eth0.IPv4 no longer relevant for mDNS.
Apr 12 12:40:41 desktop avahi-daemon[2421]: Withdrawing address record for fe80::200:ff:fe00:0 on eth0.

It turns on when I log in to KDE again...

The other problem is that user switching is not working, I can log on two different accounts in KDE

Is it a configuration issue? What should I do to have it working properly

That's NetworkManager at work, ie, by default only attaches network interfaces when nm-applet is running (launched within a desktop session).

I believe it is certainly possible to enable interfaces outside of a user desktop session, but I'm unfaimilar with doing that atm. Maybe wpa_supplicant can help here. ??

WPA? You're kidding? It's a desktop PC connected with only one wired network using normal ethernet. I will uninstall this Network Manager as it seems to be a big crap. I'm upgrading from FC7 so I've never used with this tool before.
