Hi, :D
I've just installed beta of F9 and tried updating, there's been a few errors and now PUP doesn't start when I reboot.
Anyone had similar problems? and know of a way to get it started again.
SELinux reported Network Manager access denied for folder utmp, (doesn't exist)
Help appreciated,
Majikthise

Hello:
Thanks
pup is provided by pirut, which is installed by default .... so I'm guessing there is something amiss with your current installation?
You can try,
su -
yum install pirut
and see what happens

Hi,
I installed F9 from the live dvd. There were a few items i've had to install that i expected to be there.
In the applications menu - if Add/Remove Packages is missing, does that indicated package manager is awol?
I'll try your suggestion later on, as i'm in the middle of a big download right now.
Back in a couple of hours to update you.
Thanks,
Majikthise

Hello again,
I got pup running again, had to apply updates manually though. Automatic update icon appears, then 3 seconds later, it quits. Anyway, my machine is up-to-date as far as F9 is concerned.
Still getting SELinux - AVC errors for Network Manager, but i'll just ignore them until F9 is Finalized.
Thanks!

Thanks Demz,
I suspected as much, when i did yum list package*
and got the following...
PackageKit.x86_64 0.1.11-1.fc9 installed
PackageKit-libs.x86_64 0.1.11-1.fc9 installed
it doesn't appear to conflict with pup. Seems I've just got a f**ked up installation that won't auto update.
Roll on Apr 29th.Or roll back to F8, Eh? :)

Where can I download the preview? All of the images I see avaliable for download are just the original beta release.
