I think it's a bug in nautilus , I can't right or left click on any tar , rar or rpm files it seems to crash nautilus .
All the desktop icons disappear and then a nautilus window opens ( home dir ) after this the icons reappear !
Edit : I have looked into it a bit and the package responsible for the crash is file-roller-2.22.0-2.fc9
[root@localhost Desktop]# nautilus
(nautilus:13712): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:

nautilus: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/nautilus/extensions-2.0/libnautilus-fileroller.so: undefined symbol: nautilus_file_info_get_parent_info
There is a bug report filed against file-roller ( 32 bit ) , it looks like the same problem !
