Hi, I have a AMD 64 3000+ CPU and a Samsung 160gb SATA HD, all mounted into a Shuttle running an nForce 3 chipset.

I've partitioned my hard disk into 150/10 (the 10 being for Fedora).

I downloaded the Fedora installer for 64 bit cpus, but the installer cannot seem to locate my hard disk.

When I ask it to install additional drivers, it says "No additional drivers installed".

I tried to proceed, but it crashes once the GUI has loaded.

Can anyone help?

I'm using a Silicon Image SiI 3512 SATA RAID controller.

Cheers!

Looks like this is a common problem (same for my Silicon Image 3114 btw). You can follow the steps there or just get a PATA drive for now and use that.

Aha! Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately, I don't have another computer (talk about steep system requirements!) to get the fix to work.

Also, I'm a complete linux newbie. I downloaded it (1.8gb!), created the boot disks and made a 10gb partition to install it on. I have no idea how to compile my own boot disk etc.

Oh dang! Hopefully the next release will support it!

Thanks for the help though, chaps.
