Wireless Driver on T61

I freshly installed Fedora8 on T61 through textmode, and i can see that my network manager doesnt give me an option of Wireless. When i try the following commands i get the response as follows:

1) iwconfig

lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 bo wireless extensions.

Try this:
su -
yum remove iwl*-firmware ipw*-firmware
yum install madwifi
yum update
service network restart
service NetworkManager restart
chkconfig --level 35 NetworkManager on
The MadWifi drivers support your Atheros AR5212, but a forum search shows that some people, especially those with T61's have had issues getting it to work. After these updates, the card should appear as ath0.

Let us know how it goes.
