Hi
I teach a course using Fedora 8. We just updated the course from FC6.
In the course student use removable harddrives to move between different lab room and home computers.
Unfortunately when students move to different machines they keep getting new interfaces added. Right up to eth13 so far.
In FC6 we used to be able to just uncheck the Bind to MAC address box to make it work fine. but now students are getting long lists of interfaces and it is getting pretty confusing.
Is there any way to change the behavior so that it will use the same interface name each time. Assuming the same model of NIC.
Thanks
Famine
