Hi Webmaster.
mm.dd.yyyy is confusing to us Australians, especially if the dd is between 1 and 12, as we use dd.mm.yyyy. Please consider international date format yyyy.mm.dd, that seems to be the w3c recommendation. And I am guessing you want fedoraforum.org to be global!!! Thanks...
Justin.

It's confusing to me too, but is the most widely used one here on the forum and its going to stay that way i'm afraid.
dd.mm.yyyy makes the most sense to me.

dd.mm.yyyy it's an european format. I think the international format that's most widely used is yyyy.mm.dd, so it'd probably be the best to use. I always have to do an effort to remember that the "05-11-2004" is really May, eleventh, and not a premonition from the future...

Would you believe mm.dd.yyyy is the common format in the USA? Our units are just weird.
I can read this date format though.

mm.dd.yyyy really screws me up. I can see how it makes sense though like November 11th 2004.

Actually, most particularly, US format is:
MM/DD/YYYY
Whereas European format is:
DD.MM.YYYY
And logical (to a computer) format is:
YYYYMMDD
:-)
I work in a multinational company, this issue comes up all the time, both in product design and international communications. :-)

Just be glad we are using yyyy for the year otherwise we'd be in a real mess the next 8 years :)
