Hi,

First I know this should go to bugzilla first, but id like to know if im the only one having this issue.

I installed Fedora Core 1.92 Test3 yesterday, and everything works fine. (Spare me those jokes about "everything works fine? then why are you writing this?" :P)

up2date worked fine for the first usage. I had like 150 packages to be updated. I let it work, downloading and updating all by itself. I decided to check whats going to be updated, and noticed up2date itself needed an update; so I let up2date update itself.

Now I wanted to check up2date again but its reporting this:

There was a fatal error communicating with the server. The message was:

An HTTP error occurred:
URL: http://fedora.redhat.com/download/up2date-mirrors/fedora-core-2/headers/header.info
Status Code: 404
Error Message: Not Found

Obviously something was erased/moved from the RH server.Or is it? I saw another thread about up2date not working (that thread (http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=1631&highlight=up2date)), but since the requested path (what up2date asked for) isnt quite the same as me, i prefered to make another thread. I also saw someone posting its up2date source config, and will try to use his own (dont worry, ill backup first.)

So! In short, does anyone else had these problems?

The file structure is being changed for the release of core 2. Once the lastest ISOs are realease I would expect teh new directories to be in place for updates again. In the mean time you might want to add some mirror site to you yum.conf

I dont know, but I think that I shoulnt change my sources file like the guy wrote in this thread (http://http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=1631). It looks like its from an older release (Fedora core 1), and I doubt it will be of any help in my case.

Also, i tried to browse manually in the download folders from fedora.redhat.com and i guess I cant get an appropriate folder for my release version. Correct my if im wrong but "rawhide" is a codename for a standard (not yet updated) FC 1.92 test3, right?

Check the mirror list and find one that is located near you. Check the test directory and look for 1.92 and verify that you see the "headers" folder using your browser, then you can copy that path into your yum.conf.

Nice, i was doing the right thing, then.

Actually, mirrors for 1.92 are rare (so far...I just started searching) :/

(EDIT: oops, was looking in the updates directory. Nevermind.)
