the extra slash is between edu and pub. does anybody know how to stop the install prog from doing this?

I've seen this too, try bugzilla.redhat.com and search for a bug rapport. If you can't find it, make sure you report. It would be nice if you could provide a link here so I can add a "me too" reply to the bug rapport if needed. Thanks.

ok i got the ftp install to work.
if i was installing using the ncsu.edu servers i would have typed the following:
ftp.linux.ncsu.edu
pub/fedora/linux/core/2/i386/os
using that did not cause and extra slash to be inserted into the full address
