Hi everyone, I'm using Gnome and when I try to adjust system volume (FC8 + PulseAudio) I have a very little useable range of slider choices. IE 100% on the slider is 100% volume, but 90% on the slider is like 60% volume, 80% is 30% volume, and 70% is 0 volume (nothing comes out of my speakers) meaning I only have three choices for volume.

Is there a way to smooth out that line a little and adjust the 0 on the volume control to reflect 0 on my speakers?

Thanks!

Same problem here. Did you ever solve this?

I notice it only occurs with the 2.6.25 kernels... all was and still is fine when booting with 2.6.24.x

Nope, although when I changed to ALSA mixer I think for adjusting volume for the main system it got better I believe (I am not sure really what I did at some point I was just fiddling and it was a little better, and I've left it ever since).

Yeah I managed to make it a little better by messing with the Default Mixer Tracks in Sound Properties and selecting PCM but its still not great. Annoying!
