So, using FC8 and trying to get a my wireless usb adapter (Belkin N) to work.

I installed ndiswrapper and installed the driver for the device from the cd (ndiswrapper -i), but don't know what I need to do to get it to recognize the device is plugged in. I did read that enormous thread about ndiswrapper (until it got all clustered) and have spent hours searching.

anyone feel like helping me? would be greatly appreciated!

and in case this question isn't screaming "newbie", i'm new to linux ;)

Hi thedanielmatt

I know how you feel, it can be hard trying to get Fedora working with wireless devices. I found a good source of information on getting wireless working with Fedoa over at http://fedoramobile.org/wireless try reading the Getting Started page along with the "Installing Ndiswrapper using YUM and Livna" page and see how you get on.

cool, thanks for the reference. i checked the list of supported devices and mine is listed, but "not tested" and says "success reported with Marvel 8360". what does that mean? try to find/install that driver instead?
