Hi all,

I'm running Fedora 8 and just bought an Aureon Dual USB soundcard. When I plug it in, it is detected by PulseAudio (displaying it as the first or second soundcard based on whether it was inserted before or after Fedora has booted).

Unfortunately, I cannot get any sound output from the card. The card is unmuted within the PulseAudio Volume Control application, and the onboard soundcard continues to work despite no output from the card.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get this card working?

Thanks in advance,
James

If it helps at all, I do get a "test" sound (as registered by PulseAudio when I use verbose mode) but then can get no further sound out of it. It is also works fine under Windows.

Well, if it helps anyone, I eventually got a solution. It seemed that PulseAudio was ignoring the default device, and continuing to output to my onboard card. Disabling automated HAL detection in /etc/pulse/default.pa and adding manual sink and source commands for that specific card fixed my problem.
