Good Scanner for F8?

Can anyone recommend a reliable and inexpensive scanner which should work with the minimum of hassle?

I have two epsons a 1660 PHOTO and a 1200 PHOTO both USB connection.

Just plug them in an run XSANE it finds them and you can scan away.

setting up XSANE takes a little reading and setting up but seems to work very well to me.
I use it for my copier now that my PC850 is not working.
