I am looking for a monitor, I am seeking a flat screen, DOES NOT have to be HD ready, and at least 18". I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. Any one know of a good site to purchase online Flat panel monitors? Every where I have looked is $$$. Except Newegg.com, I have looked at bestbuy, circuit city, Geeks.com, TigerDirect.com, Compusa.com, to name a few I have already looked at. Right now I am comparing prices. Or, if you are selling one and live with in the Continental US, let me know. Maybe we can discuss a purchase. THANKS!

You may want to clarify what you consider to be "an arm and a leg" so we can filter our suggestions accordingly.

good point. Range $1 - $250, mainly I need the monitor to free up some space. The desk area is small, and the monitor is older, so a newer one would be a pleasant addition to the new PC set up.

man, that's kind of easy.

From WalMart.com:
Acer 19" widescreen ($175.00) (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5693152)
Acer 20" widescreen ($185.00) (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7812643)
Acer 22" widescreen ($230.00) (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5272917)

From Dell.com:

19" widescreen ($180.00 after rebate) (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5272917)

Dell has tons and often rotates the monitors on sale, so you might want to check them all out (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/category.aspx?c=us&category_id=4009&cs=04&l=en&s=dhs&dgc=IR&cid=22390&lid=524831).

Thanks, I haven't really considered walmart as a source yet.

I've bought two Proviews and one Acer from them. The Acer was online and the two proviews were local purchases. I've not had a problem with any and they've all operated for 2 + years.

I've also got two dell monitors that I can say the same about. No problems and both were door prizes(free w/the purchase of a computer).

Be careful with some makers, including Dell! The screens they provide to reviewers come with a better panel than the ones they actually ship! I have an Acer AL1916 19" and am pleased with it. I wouldn't go with Benq (if they're available in your area)

Actually for K-Mart. I'm just really bad at it.
