i am new to linux.i have installed fedora8 in my lenova3000N200 laptop. It has a intel 965 express chipset (intel graphics media accelerator).I use mplayer to watch the videos.the problem is when i maximize the mplayer window the video playback gets struck but i can perform desktop effects in my laptop.someone please help me.is this because of any driver problem?

i have the same provblem as when xv: X11/XVideo is selected as driver and codec is auto, maximizing window slows down video drastically.
i am having the problem in x86_64 machine.
but using gl2: as driver maximizing the window plays video smooth but when fast camera move is in the scene the video tears diagonally as a thin dislocation line is visible diagonally.
You try with the gl2: driver and tell if you are getting the same

Hi this may be related or not, but i have the same chipset in my dell inspiron, and had the same problems when view on full screen etc become slow/jerky, when i updated the memory from 1gig to 2 gig the problem resolved itself.
