As you may have noticed in the last 24 hours we've made some changes here at FedoraForum.org. Firstly we've upgraded our version of the VBulletin forums to the latest stable version with a few of our own modifications. Many thanks must go out to Ewdi (http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/member.php?u=1) for this implementation of the new forums.
One of the most important features which has been implemented with the new forum, is a reputation system. Underneath the name of every poster is a scales icon, selecting this will enable you to leave feedback about a post and the poster. I strongly advise you all to leave feedback to everyone who provides help, and even to those that post well structured good questions in the support forum. This should make it much easier to pick out the experts, when recieving advice in the support forums as a green bar indicates the level of the reputation of the poster.
We've also opened a new PPC forum (http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=51), in the support forums. For those of you that are daring enough to attempt to install Fedora Core 2 onto your PPC's. Any questions regarding Fedora and the PPC platform should be asked there.
Enjoy the forums!

The forums look way better and I hope that the new reputation system will make a difference.
Nice work.
PS. Not sure if this is the right place but there seems to be an error on the first page. On the left side there is a nice calendar, but when I click on the name of the month (June 2004 as we speak) I get an error page:
Not Found
The requested URL /calendar.php was not found on this server.
The URL is http://www.fedoraforum.org/calendar.php?month=6&year=2004&c=&do=displaymonth

Nope, I still get the same message. I have tried refreshing the page and using a second browser just to make sure it was not my cache.

what is the link that is shown to you? for me it's http://www. fedoraforum.org/forum/calendar.php?

if you click on June 2004 on the calendar it gives an error because it goes to:
http://www.fedoraforum.org/calendar.php?month=6&year=2004&c=&do=displaymonth
it should point to
http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/calendar.php?month=6&year=2004&c=&do=displaymonth
Forum folder part of the Url is missing.

k00lworld, Yeap, that's the problem. If I edit the URL by hand and add "forum/" it works.

So obvious! Ewdi should implement it shortly.

This upgrade was strange considering my habit to read new posrts on the left sidebar. It looks cleaner than the old version.

This site is more and more excellent. There are two things about the new design. I don't like the new code tag, it's better to fully display the code. And the icon for the reputation is too small, the new users of this forum may not see it.

I've found a couple of problems, which may just be related to using firefox 0.8?
Selecting the "quick links" or "search" menus at the top of the screen, the menu drops down but spans the entire screen - not a show stopper by any means.
Also, I've just tried changing my avatar image, I managed to delete the existing, but there no longer seems to be any way of adding a new one?

I get the same menu problem with Firefox 0.8. It is working fine with Opera 7.50 and Internet Explorer 6.0. Anyone on Firefox 0.9?

there does seem to be a problem with the drop down menus..."search".."quick links"...when clicked on a white band extends across the screen...also the search bar would not allow a "paste" using the right mouse dialog...
On my windows machine the menus worked properly...

Well, it's not moving anything down the page now (floats over the rest of the page), but the drop-down is the full-width of the viewable area. Not horribly annoying but it's... well, the best description I can use is "unprofessional." :D

I'm using Moz 1.8a, no problems at all! The menus work great.

Hmm, just tried konqueror and indeed the menus look cool - answer is to upgrade to firefox 0.9.
However still no joy on the avatar front - anyone have a suggestion?

Great job with the forums guys. Also, the "rating system" is a hit in my book.
