HP Pavilion dv2000 Wireless..

I install Fedora 8 via a liveCD on my friends HP Pavilion dv2000. He hates vista, and who can blame him. I followed some forums on how to get the broadcom bcm94311 to work. I have been able for it to show b43 as configured. When I go to activate the device, it says the device is not present. I am lost on where to go from here.. please share any ideas.

I have a dv2000 laptop as well, and used ndiswrapper with R174291.exe dell wireless drivers and that worked. unzip it, cd into DRIVER_US, ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5.inf

Give that a shot.
