Hi,I'm Raju Tiwari from New Delhi.i'm unable to add "canon PIXMA iP 1800" printer.can u tell me with brief details bcoz i am n00b in linux nd i hope u'll be help me.Thank you! 4 ur valuable advice in advance.

We need more details. Is the printer attached to the Linux computer or is it a Windows shared printer, etc. And if I may, it's pretty annoying to try to read all those ancient Egyptian heiroglyphics.

Hey,understand what am i saying.well i want add or attach printer in Fedora Core 6 but how to do.You have to idea than help me with details.i requesting you ,and i did not mind your word for needing help from you.Thanks in Advance

Hi A.Serbinski,i have downloaded software that you have given link .but i was trying to install softy but 1 msg coming .

[raju@localhost ~]$ cd /home/raju/Desktop
[raju@localhost Desktop]$ rpm -ivh cnijfilter-ip1800series-2.70-1.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
cnijfilter-common >= 2.70 is needed by cnijfilter-ip1800series-2.70-1.i386
libxml.so.1 is needed by cnijfilter-ip1800series-2.70-1.i386

one thing is very important is printer model is showing in printer list .can u tell me please me what is wrong is here?.i tried like this plz see in picture.

I've never installed one of those printers, so I can't give you specific advise except for this;

1) Don't use that kde print thing, use the standard cups config program (http://localhost:631) or system-config-printer.

2) You need to install the dependency before you install the printer driver. Yes, the dependency is available from the same page I referred you to.
