I just finished building my new computer and so far everything works, except my CD/DVD drive stops working at random. Coming off of a reboot, it will work for a while and eventually it just stops working, even if I'm watching a movie. The only way to bring it back seems to be rebooting the computer. Once it stops working, it still shows up in the gnome Computer menu, but it will not read any discs that are in it. If it helps any, it is a LITEON CD/DVD-RW drive. Also, I doubt it could be the cause, but I'm using Nvidia's beta driver for my 8800gt.
