I've been using Fedora C6 on a 64 bit machine for a while with KDE. All of a sudden not when I go to the Log out screen I only have 2 options:End Sesion, and Cancel. I used to have two other options: SHut down, and Restart. How can I fix this?

Congratulations :) I also had that problem after an update. I fixed it with updating to Fedora 8.

Do you know if I can upgrade to C8 without burning media?

All I can think of is that for some reason, haldaemon and/or dbus can't start.
Without hal and dbus, I don't think you get the shutdown and reboot options.

haldaemon is running, but I do not see dbus on my list of services (running or otherwise)
