kernel 2.6.5-1.351
yum update all package on 06-may-2004

From init 5 to init 3

#init 3
.....
.....
Starting mdmpd:Kernel md module does not support event [FAILED ]

This happen when switch init 5 to init 3 ..!!!!

I get the same problem but it doesnt seem to bothing my system in anyway...i guess its just saying that that module...whatever it does is not able to shut down when switched from init 5 to 3...

no biggie once you get used to seeing the [FAILED] everytime...hehe....would be nice to know how to get rid of it though...:cool:

That's the software-RAID manager. If you're not using any software-RAID, you can safely disable that service with "chkconfig mdmdp off".
