Hello!
Where can I find list of hardware components, supported by Fedora 8? I'm going to buy IBM server with RAID controller and I need to know, if Fedora 8 supports this controller or not.

Thanks in advance.

With best regards, Philipp.

I believe google (http://www.google.com) has a list.

Try here:
http://www.linuxcompatible.org/compatibility.html

But if there is a specific bit of hardware you have questions about you can search on
www/google/com/linux
or PM me - I'd be happy to scan the kernel source tree.

Having installed Red Hat on a fair number of IBM servers, I'm going to make a reasonably educated guess and say it is probably supported under Linux.

If it is an on-board IBM controller or an expansion card IBM controller then I'm nearly certain you're in luck.

IBM's position in Linux is strong. I think they ensure that Linux will run on all their systems - perhaps even as a design policy.

Cheers

Thank you for your answers.
I know, that IBM like linux :) But I couldn't install Fedora 6 to x206m(serveraid 8e). On x3200(SAS HBA) everything was fine. That's why I decided to ensure.

P.S Are drivers for Red HAt compatiable with Fedora?
P.P.S Unfortunatly I couldn't find complete list of linux compatable hardware, does it exist?

With best regards Philipp
