what motherboard do you have? It sounds like the installer does not have a driver for your motherboard's chipset or there may be something special you have to do to get your hard drive to show up.

I have a museum piece myself :) (K7V).. No such luxury as a DVD drive though. It sounds like ubuntu is occupying all the space on your hard drive. Either you repartition and give say 20gb to ubuntu leaving 20gb for the fedora install or buy another drive. 80gb ide drives are cheap.

Hey guys i did some research on the problem. I couldnt find anything exactly for his motherboard but i did find a few were asus boards that they were having trouble with. Go here and read about it.

Some people also talked about low ram memory being a problem, see if you cant find a spare 64mb or something.
Also if its a western digital hard drive, make sure that is is jumpered properly, 2 people i saw had that problem. (if its the only drive on IDE chain it should be set to single not master)
Look up information on your motherboards chipset, you might find that there are bugs listed for it.
well thats all i can do for now, ive got some studying to do. Good luck!
