Hi...
I installed Fedora Core 6. When I insert the command
startx
I have an error: "Unable to connect to Server X"
How can I start the Fedora in graphic mode?

Try running system-config-display and see if you can get the display ironed out that way. Are there other errors? If there are please post them here.

Sounds as if the X window system isn't installed properly. You might try doing something like yum groupinstall "X Window System" or whatever it's called. (Do yum grouplist first, to get the name correctly--afterwards, the command given above will work with the group of packages in "" as above.)
In other words, doing yum grouplist will tell you if it *is* called X Window System or something slightly different. Then, use the name you get from that to install the group.

One thing you should consider right now: Fedora6 has just reached 'end of life', which means updates won't be available much longer. Since you're having problems, wouldn't it be better to install Fedora7 or Fedora8 and try again?

Ya know, Bob has a very good point there. You're going to get Fedora Core 6 working beautifully only to find that it's no longer supported. Then what do you do? Upgrade. Wipe it clean and install Fedora 8. Join the crowd. I think most of them will agree that this is the best Fedora yet.
