OK,
After having problems with my rtl8185 card in, Fedora, Ubuntu, Knoppix, and even out of desperation Mandrake I've decided to just buy a new one.

Between online outlets and Ebay this shouldn't be much of a problem.

What I'd like to know is what cards, chipsetts, are people having the best results with?

Currently I am looking at

Ralink RT2560F

MSI MP54G4

Billionton MIWGRL > Ra RT2560F chipset

Generic INPROCOMM chipset IPN2120

And so on. There is a ton of cards available and I'm getting tired of using my old USB dongle.

Thanks!

The Ralink would be a good choice but may not work in your laptop. The bios must be able to interface with it. Check this link. http://tuxmobil.org/minipci_linux.html#ToC25
