monitor power savings

In the KDE > configure desktop module, there's a screen to turn on power off mode for the monitor. The problem is that it maxes out at 120 minutes. For my purposes, I could use this set higher. Is this graphical module a GUI for an underlying script which can be tweaked to a greater time? If so, what's it called and where to find it?
