So I have an AMD setup with an Intel PCI-E PRO/1000 PT desktop NIC. Under Fedora 7, no issues. I tried to reinstall with Fedora 8 and can no longer do a network install. I can PXE boot fine but it seems the e1000 driver that comes with F8 does not allow me to access my network. My first indication was that the installer could not get a DHCP address. I first tried x86_64, then i386. I went back to F7 and that installer works fine.

So I re-enabled the onboard NIC and got the install to complete thinking I could just switch to the e1000. However, it was still having issues getting a DHCP address.

Seems that something with the F8 e1000 is not working right. Now I will never be able to compelete a network install with this computer...

Anyone notice the same?
