Hello all.
Of late, I've become very interested in Linux. However as much as wanted to download it, I had to refrain due to a very slow Internet connection. Suddenly after I purchased my favorite Tech magazine, I saw it came with a bootable disc having Linux Mint! I was overjoyed! I also saw that they had offered the Fedora Core 5 DVD iso files of the same version. :) Now I want to ask how to boot into XP/Linux and select which OS to use. My current OS at the moment is Windows XP pro 32 bit. I wish to install Linux and dual boot with XP.
My current system specs are

Pentium D proccesor
DVD Writer
NTFS File system
4 partitions
D: drive empty for linux

How would I dual boot with Fedora and XP and select which OS to use?
Please help me!

Fedora's default boot manager is GRUB and it offers boot both Linux and WinXP so don't be afrait. Installer will ask You if you want to use it. You can also use LILO if You want, but there is no need to change default settings.

Make sure your BIOS is set to Boot from CD/DvD an boot from it an follow the instructions, an install fedora on the partition of your choice , one thats done follow the prompts . but dont use Fedora core 5,, get your hands on 6 or 6, possibly 8 if you can,

EDIT:::

I don't know if Fedora 5 exactly has NTFS support by default, but there is such possibility - both for read and write access. It depends on linux kernel - support have to be compiled into kernel or in a module.
