Hi everyone,
I realize that there are many guides out there on this topic, and many threads in these forums, though I've read a lot of them and nothing I've tried following has worked.
Here's the situation: I have a laptop with a wireless internet connection running FC7. I want to share this internet connection with a desktop machine I have running XP. They are connected using a crossover cable but I just can't get it to work.
I followed several guides though I've encountered several problems: I can ping FC7 from XP but not the other way around (?). In fact when I activate the network card in FC7 so that the 2 computers are connected, the internet stops working on the FC7 machine... it doesn't disconnect it just tries to access the net via the ethernet adapter (eth0) instead of the wifi card (eth1). Installing firestarter didn't help things at all and just created more problems...
If someone can please help me start over from scratch I would really appreciate it - I have to start a big project tomorrow and need this setup tonight if possible.
Thanks :)
