I'm surpriced to see how many people just don't realize how easy DRM is to defeat when you stream videos -- a render-to-file backend rather than a render-to-screen/speakers defeats DRM completely as long as you can play it in the first place., still people think that the DRM bashing is about being able to steal movies and not about access and control over ones computer.
Considering how long GNU has been around, I'm baffeled to see the ignorance of people with regards to the impact of restricting technologies on computers. It just doesn't make any sense to have DRM to me. Being able to play a media file/device is the same as defeating any protection scheme on it -- they tried it (and still try) with software discs and AFAIK, no worthwhile piece of software hasn't had it's protection scheme defeated -- usually in a matter of a day or two.
Why the bloody hell do people continue to think that saying no to DRM is the same as asking for permission to steal something? Which would not be stealing then, since you have permission... ahhh.. I give up!
