We've already discussed the Ubuntu user's predisposition to fanboyism.
I for one appreciate him taking the time to let me know what makes Ubuntu the bestest linux distribution in the whole wide world. I guess I didn't try it long enough, because I was fairly underwhelmed by the experience.
thanks,

It seems the number of articles praising Ubuntu have increased since PCLOS has risen to distrowatch's #1.
I've never used it for any length of time, so I won't comment on this list - except to say I'm surprised "Based on Debian" isn't there.

That's not a very flattering point. Jeez, you're not good at this fanboy stuff, are you?

Well golly, Mr. Wayne sir, it doesn't smell too fishy to me. Shuttleworth's consumer marketing practices have clearly paid dividends for them. We should thank the author for stating the obvious (again). :)

I've already sacrificed a few chickens in another thread about OpenSuse, made a few effigies and invoked the name of the weevil... But, how do you know he's a witch? (You need to watch Monty Python and the holy grail to answer that!)

Hey ! watch your mouth, oh wait you said witch nevermind. :D
But seriously, tell me one thing that guy said on his blog that everybody didn't already know or that is completely false.
Like I said, he was right on the money.
Shuttleworth's money.
Edit - See rerushg agrees with me, I guess you'll have to burn him too. :p

Oh no sir, you won't pull me in this time. I've already been spanked in our last debate:
"Self adjusting brakes - A boon to automotive technology or designed by a baboon?"
I bow to you and am currently installing Ubuntu on my machine.

Hi there Wayne,
It would only disappoint me if I were concerned about being wrong.
I guess it's been too long since I watched it. I thought it was after the monks on LoB.

Guess I should work on that.
What I've seen is that Ubuntu isn't well liked on the official Debian forum, and it can't be reduced to the envy an older brother has for the younger.
Some posters on the Debian forum point out that Ubuntu has taken from Debian - repository, etc - and given little to nothing back.

Hey all thought it would be an interesting read.
http://opensource.org/node/207
Acting on the advice of the License Approval Chair, the OSI Board today approved the Microsoft Public License (Ms-PL) and the Microsoft Reciprocal License (Ms-RL). The decision to approve was informed by the overwhelming (though not unanimous) consensus from the open source community that these licenses satisfied the 10 criteria of the Open Source definition, and should therefore be approved.
I'm personally surprised by this. Does this mean Microsoft products can now be shifted to linux provided that they use the license. .docx anyone?
I'm not drinking right now, so I can confidently ask...
What's this doing here?

What? You don't see the connection?
It's just one more reason Ubuntu is the greatest distribution ever!
If you don't have it yet, what are you waiting for ? :D

This forum is "Linux Chat," and this will eventually have a bearing on Linux.

I'm a little slow. I used to have Ubuntu. While I liked it, I thought Fedora was a updated a little more often. The approach that Shuttleworth is taking with Ubuntu is definitely well done... marketing is probably Linux's biggest problem with connecting with consumers, so I'm not going to talk trash. What's good for Ubuntu is good for Linux. Mostly.

Ugh, ubuntu fanboyism, hate it! They just don't get that fedora is the absolute best, and they're very intolerant in their forums to telling people often how great fedora is so they don't forget!
