FC1 supported UPS and UPS software

I'm replacing my old APC BackUPS Pro 650, which used to work fine with my FC1 and the free apcupsd software with the APC serial cable.

I am looking to spend the "least" amount possible on this item, unfortunately, my budget is kinda tight :mad:

Can anybody recommend a cheap 650VA-800VA uninterrupted power supply (make and model, please) that connects well and works with Fedora Core 1, with either serial or ISB cable?

Does anybody have any APC "USB" UPS successfully running on FC1 with apcupsd?

Other than apcupsd, what other software runs under FC1 to monitor a UPS with a USB cable?

Thank you in advance guys, my old UPS is almost dead and my power is failing twice a week!

I think the problem with my UPS is the cable....might have to make
