hi there!
first of all, this is very likely to be a hardware error. I just want to know if it is not!
On installing FC2 test 3 via ftp, the installation process always hangs at the gawk package.
1) from different ftp sources
2) with different package selections
Has anyone made a similar experience?

The gawk packages contains the GNU version of awk, a text processing
utility. Awk interprets a special-purpose programming language to do
quick and easy text pattern matching and reformatting jobs.
Install the gawk package if you need a text processing utility. Gawk is
considered to be a standard Linux tool for processing text.
Why don't you install separately or maybe, why don't you download the ISO images first and then choose what you would like to install.

I know what gawk is good for, thanks ;-)
The fact of the matter is that the ftp installation process *hangs* exactly when connecting to fetch the gawk package.
Maybe, it's the crappy old hub the machine is connected to... I'll try another connection and if this don't help, I'll get the ISOs, when FC2 final is out.
Thank you anyways
