I'm configuring my first Fedora server for a real hosting environment. So I opted not to install a graphical interface, as I don't need it. I've got it all set up properly and I'm happy with it.

But now I need to install some Dell system monitoring software which requires a graphical interface. So how do I add this? I've tried the installation CD but it doesn't give me this option in the upgrade routine.

which x window are you going to install, gnome, kde, xfce, or something else? and there are many servers monitoring service that does not require x window.

My Favorite is SIM, very flexible, reliable and comprehensive reports

I'd be happy with anything that'll install easily from the command line, but I'm used to gnome. Unfortunately this Dell Server Monitor thing needs it for installation; pretty poor if you ask me!

Is there any way I can use up2date to sort it all out?!
