I have been slowly getting my treo to sync or use my pc as an internet gateway i have gotten only so far.
I followed this tutorial
http://howto.pilot-link.org/bluesync/index.html
execpt for editing the kernel. i dont feel so good editing kernel unless i know what im doing which is i most likely dont. i also didnt mess with ppd because of the same reason.
here is what they are telling me about how to set up ppd
http://howto.pilot-link.org/ppp/cd.html
i ran this command to test the connection, which seems fine. I think.
dund --nodetach --listen --persist --msdun call btpalm
dund --nodetach --listen --persist --msdun call btpalm
