Thank you!!!You probably need to give more information for people to help you. Are you using Fedora 7? What version of the Kernel are you running. In other words is your kernel the latest?
uname -a will give that info to you in a terminal window.

Your SMCWUSB-G has a ZYDIS ZD1211B chipset from what I can find on a web search. This is not an Atheros chipset which can use madwifi, even though Atheros bought ZYDIS according to one web post. Therefore, I think you will have to use the ndiswrapper program which is available from livna. If you post the information suggested above, I bet someone can help you with this.
