This is a very frustrating issue that I've encountered after installing F7 and I've yet to find a solution for it and was just wondering if anybody else has.

Basically, when I'm botting F7 it gets to "starting udev" and then hangs until I eject my Creative Audigy Notebook ZS PCMCIA card. If I eject the card it boots just fine, but I don't have any soundcard (save for internal sound).. Scanning dmesg doesn't yield much, only "writing to ADC failed!" a few times immediately after ejecting the card.

Any ideas guys? This is very frustrating..

I have the same problem. It worked fine under FC6 but not Fedora 7 or the prereleases of Fedora 8. I hope this gets fixed or someone will find a solution as it's the only thing keeping me from switching to Fedora.

There is a bug report for this:
