How do i install this webcam on my fedora 7????

I don't know the specifics.
I believe you want the quickcam_messenger driver which is part of the Fedora kernel distro.

Plug the device in and see what you get from "lsmod | grep quickcam".
If no result the do "modprobe quickcam_messenger".

Then look to see if the dev's were made "ls -l /dev/vid*'. You may need to
"modprobe v4l1-compat v4l2-common" not sure.

When the /dev'video appears you can access the video with xawtv, tvtime
or probably other better tools.

haveing the same problem i was useing v4l and its quernel module and nothing on kinfo senter it shows its there and pluged but when i try to acces the divice it shows nothing on the select divice tab so i uninstaled the v4l drivers what now.
