Hello everybody,

I need help from the Fedora Wizards!!!

I just attempt a fresh install of F7 in my old Toshiba Satellite A25-S307 laptop, which by the way was running FC6 with not problem, and for my surprise when disk druid is loaded it does not recognize my HD as IDE but SCSI. (???)

How do I make it understand that my HD is not SCSI but IDE?

Tks,
AG

This is the 'new way' that the kernel recognises IDE disks, nothing broken but takes a bit of getting used to.

You dont, It is normal behavior due to kernel changes in F7 ( anyway what difference does it make ? )

I've installed few times F7 by now and every time I get the following error log message when I shutdown the OS:

Halting system...
md: stopping all md devices.
Synchronizing SCSI cache for disk sda:
System halted.
_ (cursor blinking)

Any ideas?
